Consisting of five synthesizer voices – four functioning as cascading chord strands and the last serving as an independent accent layer – dyschronograph stack uses a combination of temporal indeterminacy and gearwork to systemize its sonic elements. In essence a chord constructor, it is preloaded with arrays of different musical scales, ranging from conventional diatonic modes to custom or mathematically derived systems. The leading voice follows a random step sequencer, while the remaining three voices are assigned notes that fit within the established musical context.
