ddrysfeöd

electronic sound and light sculpture, 2021
+12V, external power supply
250mm x 250mm x 260mm

ddrysfeöd is constructed as a maze, such as the pencil mazes in magazines where the goal is to draw a line with a pencil from the beginning to the end of a labyrinth. The labyrinth walls are transparent and fixed to a mirror plate with boreholes for LEDs which lights up in a pattern for each sound entry. The sound itself is generated by an ESP32 providing two oscillators tuned to the harmonic series which are run through a delay with ever changing delay times.

Materials used include acrylic glass, electronics, plated steel and tinned copper wire.
